I recently updated Windows on my HP ENVY x360 Convert 13-ay1059AU (6E0D8PA) convertible laptop and now the brightness slider is missing, also the function keys to adjust brightness aren't working. The brightness is fixed on a medium level.
I tried reinstalling monitor driver, but nothing happened. Also, there are no display adapters present in the device manager.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It sounds like the recent Windows update may have caused issues with your display driver, leading to the missing brightness slider and non-functional brightness adjustment keys.
Let’s go through a step-by-step process to fix this:
Step 1: Check for Display Adapters
If no display adapters appear in Device Manager:
Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
Click on View in the menu bar and select Show hidden devices.
Expand "Display adapters" and check if anything shows up.
If your display adapter is listed but grayed out, right-click it, select "Enable," and restart your computer.
Step 2: Manually Update Graphics Driver
The issue might be caused by an incompatible or missing graphics driver. Here’s how to resolve it:
Go to the HP Support page Official HP® Drivers and Software Download | HP® Support and search for your HP ENVY x360's model (6E0D8PA).
Download and install the latest display/graphics drivers for Windows 11.
Look specifically for AMD or Intel Integrated Graphics drivers based on your hardware.
Step 3: Check Windows Update
Sometimes, updates to the graphics driver are included with Windows updates:
Go to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.
Install any pending updates and restart.
Step 4: Restore Previous Display Settings
If the issue started after a specific update, try rolling back:
In Device Manager, right-click on your display adapter (if listed) and select Properties.
Go to the Driver tab and select Roll Back Driver (if the option is available).
Step 5: Run System Diagnostics
Use HP’s built-in tools to detect and fix display issues:
Turn off your laptop.
Turn it back on and immediately press Esc repeatedly to open the Startup Menu.
Select System Diagnostics and run a test for the display.
