Hello
Just finished with online support specialist for my notebook LCD replacement issue.
Rep informed me that repair cost on the touch LCD is 579.99 which it does not make any sense.
MSRP on this model is 499.99 and repair cost is higher than notebook itself.
Please if anyone can able to direct me with reasonable repair option or better answers.
Thanks

Hello @PK702
I agree, that is ridiculous to pay. But buying original parts from HP is also more expensive than a products worth most of the time anyway.
I see the display part number is listed as 924298-001.
I did find that same screen model on this site... ($50 US) but it wont have touch functionality as the digitizer glass is discontinued or not available.
If you want to do it yourself and forgo Touch ability, this might be your only cheap alternative.
Otherwise, ebay is the only other source I can find them on. But thats not very appealing either... link.
Thats the best I can find. Hope it helps.
