I posted my broken screen problem about a month ago and did not receive a reply that fit what I have. The broken area looks to be a thin glass screen protector like you put on a cell phone. The broken glass does not affect the active screen area. I do not have a touch screen, I did not order one, there is no settings or software for a touch screen. This thin glass covers the display screen has a black glass frame from the active screen to the lid edge with a silver HP logo at the bottom middle of the glass.
