My computer has had this issue the whole time I've owned it.  I have contact HP for help and no one seems to be able to fix my problem. I need this fixed before my warrenty runs out.  I just spent an hour holding to speak to someone and once I told Ben my problem he said we will see about getting that fixed I am going to transfer you and I went back into another 50 minute wait time to speek with someone else - Ridiculous!  My screen locks up and white bubbles  are all over the screen - the mouse goes crazy and I have to do a hard shut off to regain control of my computer thats not even a year old.  Can someone please help!!!

I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers. 

 

As I understand there bubbles on screen with an erratic mouse followed by the pc freezing/locking up,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details: 

Does this happen when you are online or while using any specific application offline?

Did you install any updates or apps recently that may caused this issue?

Have you attempted a system restore to an earlier date it was working fine?

 

While you respond to that, I recommend a few steps that should resolve your concern:

First, we need to identify the reason your PC is locking up on you, hence we need to obtain the BSOD error that should show up when the PC crashes:

  • In Windows, search for and open View advanced system settings. 

  • In the Advanced tab, under Startup and Recovery, click Settings. 

  • Under System Failure, remove the check mark next to automatically restart, and then click OK. 

  • Restart the computer to apply the change. 

  • The computer no longer restarts automatically when a blue screen error occurs. 

Reply back with the error code/message (Stop error / xxxxx.sys) so that we may identify the issue and resolve it accordingly.

 

Also, check with an external mouse to check if it resolves the erratic mouse cursor issue.
