Dear HP Support Team,
I am facing an issue with the built-in HP Wide Vision HD Camera on my HP Victus Gaming Laptop 15-fa0070TX(Product ID: 6Z2P5PA). The camera is not functioning as expected.
When I open the camera , the camera light blinks for a moment, but the feed stays blank. No error is shown, and the device quickly disconnects on its own.
Here are the troubleshooting steps I have already performed:
- Reinstalled and updated the camera driver from Device Manager.
- Verified that all camera permissions are enabled in Privacy Settings.
- Checked functionality using HP’s system diagnostics (via ESC key) – test passed.
- Uninstalled and reinstalled the camera driver multiple times.
- Updated Windows and checked for additional driver updates.
- Tried PowerShell command to reinstall the Camera app, but command did not work as expected.
- Verified device settings – camera shows connected until accessed, then disconnects.
Despite all efforts, the issue remains unresolved. Kindly look into this and guide me on how to resolve the issue without requiring a service center visit.
Looking forward to your prompt support.
Regards,
Ayush
