Hello H&P.
It is very important to forward this my message to deep team of technical members from HP.
Therefore they are only one people which are permitted to connect with internal AMD members to resolve this world issue.
The message is regarding the world wide issues with drivers in MS Windows 11
for OEM hardware AMD Chipset AMD RYZEN 7 PRO 7840HS with AMD Radeon 780M.
I will leave technical stuff here because I believe this is more political topic right now than technical because it is already lot of months what this issue was not solved and maybe nor reported by users.
All the world is needing to get fixed Graphics Driver for latest Windows 11
for OEM hardware AMD Chipset AMD RYZEN 7 PRO 7840HS with AMD Radeon 780M
including working hardware acceleration in existing web browsers.
Massive problem is regarding first of all - video playback hardware acceleration in whole list of existing web browser using Angle D3D11 default framework.
All existing graphics drivers released up to 2024/05/15 including OEM drivers by HP are broken and not work correctly and devices are not possible to smoothly use. The same issues are affected in Lenovo Vendor and more.
Vendor AMD responded that the only way how to start to solve this issue is to contacts AMD by HP Technical departments. Start please doing right now.
I hope this message will be forwarded to authorized people and something will at last happen.
Thank You and have a nice day!

I migrated from MS Windows 11 to Kubuntu OS
After some time of frustrations from playing with the configurations regarding broken GPU support in MS Windows 11 I decided to migrate to OS Kubuntu 24.04 where native open source AMD driver is absolutely working out of the box and is giving absolutely awesome performance for office work including video decode. It is also supporting second 4K 120Hz monitor via USB-C and all the built-in hardware almost out of the box.
From this reason and positive results of my tests with Kubuntu I can recommend this step.
I was also very positive surprised that there in Kubuntu is totally different (lower) requirements for CPU and GPU performance for the same tasks between Windows and Linux. Thanks to this you will get more time with battery power.
If you are forced stay on MS Windows 11 you can follow the fix for at last Chromium based web browser. Firefox is unfortunately unfix-able.
On Windows 11 is GPU driver broken
What is happening with hardware video acceleration in Windows 11?
By default, Firefox and Chromium are using the ANGLE layer to render WebGL draw calls. ANGLE is an implementation of the OpenGL ES 2.0 specification that is hardware-accelerated via Direct3D 9 and 11. Chromium and other web engines are using latest DirectX 11 as default and it seems there is something really broken with the drivers under latest MS Windows 11. I spent lot of hours to try fix playing 4K videos under Windows 11 and I was success for Chromium browser but Firefox.
