Have been using Zoom for class, midway through a session my camera often gets disconnected and the computer is unable to find the driver. It was not showing up on device manager but eventually found it in the hidden drivers. I have the error code:
Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)
To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer.
Please let me know what to do. I want to uninstall and reinstall the driver but cannot find the appropriate driver for my device on HP support. Thanks.

Hello @jordanweber,
A specific model name or product number would be appreciated. E.g. HP Spectre x360 - 13-ap0028ca or 5MT98UA#ABL
Information on how to find a laptop's model name or product number is detailed in this HP document. (Please do not post serial numbers on the HP Support Community. The difference between a product number and a serial number is that the product number contains a # sign)
How often does it disconnect? If you open up Windows 10's default camera application, what do you see?

Sir,
I know where the kill switch is and how it operates. The issues as I have stated is that the driver is being disconnected somehow. The kill switch is NOT on. I will be in the middle of a zoom session for class and the camera will repeatedly disconnect until it eventually cannot connect anymore (it works and then suddenty stops I am not simply forgetting to flip the kill switch, it is not on).

I reckon that the camera kill switch is malfunctioning. You're not encountering a software issue, you're encountering a hardware issue.
My only suggestion would be to contact HP:
Contact HP Worldwide here.
Phone HP Worldwide here.
Check warranty status here.
Find an HP Authorized Service Center near you here.
