Envy x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP ENVY x360 - 15m-ds0011dx. My issue is that the icon that usually pops up when I switch the privacy setting on my hp, which is on the side, does not pop up on my screen. I used to get a camera icon that said if my camera was on or off. Now I don't get anything and I have to go into the actual camera to see if it's on or off. I was wondering if there was a driver that I had to install or if its something else.

Hi @Andrew030

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the Webcam issue.

Please try these steps -

1) In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.

2) Expand the Imaging Devices.

3) Right-click on the HP Webcam and select Uninstall.

4) Confirm the uninstallation.

5) Restart the computer to reinstall the Webcam driver.

Also, try updating the computer -

Step 1 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 2 HP Support Assistant Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
