Hi @MHasan1

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating camera issue on your laptop. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem:

1. Check Camera Privacy Settings

  • Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Camera.
  • Make sure that camera access is allowed for apps.

2. Restart Your Laptop

  • A simple restart can often resolve temporary issues with the camera.

3. Check for Software Conflicts

  • Make sure no other application is using the camera. Close any other apps that might be using the webcam.

4. Update Camera Drivers

  • Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
  • Expand the Imaging devices section, right-click your camera, and select Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

5. Uninstall and Reinstall Camera Drivers

  • In Device Manager, right-click your camera and select Uninstall device. Restart your laptop, and Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.

6. Run the Windows Troubleshooter

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
  • Run the Camera troubleshooter to see if it detects and resolves any issues.

7. Check Camera App Settings

  • Open the Camera app, click on the settings icon (gear), and make sure the settings are configured correctly.

8. Test in Safe Mode

  • Boot your laptop into Safe Mode and check if the camera works. This can help determine if a third-party application is causing the issue.

9. Reset the Camera App

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
  • Find the Camera app, click on it, and select Advanced options. Choose Repair or Reset.

10. Update Windows

  • Make sure your Windows is up to date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
