Good day,I am using the Invigilator App for my exams, but the camera shows a lock icon when I try to use it within the app. The camera itself works fine when I take photos and videos outside of the app.Could you please advise what could be causing this issue?

Provide permission to the Invigilator app:

  1. Click the Start Menu and select Settings (the gear icon).
  2. Click on Privacy.
  3. On the left sidebar, scroll down to App permissions and click on Camera.
  4. Verify that Allow apps to access your camera is toggled On.
  5. . Scroll down to the section titled Allow desktop apps to access your camera and switch the main toggle to On.

Also note that if another background process is holding the camera open, then another app may show a lock or error symbol. So check and close background apps using camera. Also check if 3rd party antivirus (if installed) is blocking access. Open antivirus software disable webcam protection, or similar and test
