The built in camera on my chromebook touchscreen stopped working.  When I try to start the camnera app a black screen with the camera symbol comes on the screen and there is no light on the camera.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:  

If your camera isn't working, or if you see a message that says "No camera found": Turn off your Chromebook, then turn it back on.
Try using the camera in another app, like Hangouts. If it works in that app, uninstall the app where it doesn't work, then reinstall it.
