Hello,
Bought a new hp victus 15 recently. Everything is fine and working good but i have a huge issue with the camera. Even though it is advertised a hd camera it is not. Its too grainy to even use in good lighting.Gone through few community page to see a soultion, saw that it was a driver issue but the link provided to download the driver from realtek is not working anymore. Would love to resolve the issue asap as i got online exams coming.
Thank you

Hi @AkhilReddy1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand that dealing with hardware issues, especially with a new device, can be frustrating. Here are some steps you can take to address the grainy camera issue on your HP Victus 15.
-
Update Drivers:
- Go to the official HP Support website.
- Enter your laptop's model number or let the website automatically detect your product.
- Look for the latest camera drivers and download them.
-
Windows Update:
- Make sure your operating system is up to date. Sometimes, Windows updates include driver updates.
-
Device Manager:
- Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager."
- Locate the camera in the list, right-click it, and choose "Update driver."
- Select "Search automatically for updated driver software" and let Windows find and install the latest driver.
-
Roll Back Driver:
- If updating the driver doesn't work, try rolling back to a previous version of the driver. Sometimes, the latest version may not be the most stable.
-
Check Camera Settings:
- Open the camera app and check if there are settings that could affect the image quality. Adjusting resolution and other settings might improve the image.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
