Hi @CynthiaSM,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
I understand that you are facing issues with the Camera screen is black.
If the camera on your HP ENVY X360 14 Inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC is showing a black screen and you're unable to use it for Zoom, Teams, or taking pictures, try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:
Check Camera Privacy Settings: Ensure that the camera is not disabled in the privacy settings. Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera, and make sure that the "Allow apps to access your camera" option is turned on.
Update Camera Drivers: Outdated or corrupted camera drivers can cause issues. Go to the Device Manager (right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager), expand the "Cameras" or "Imaging devices" category, right-click on your camera, and select "Update driver." Follow the on-screen instructions to update the driver.
Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve camera issues. Restart your laptop and check if the camera is working afterward.
Check for Windows Updates: Make sure your Windows operating system is up to date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and check for updates. Install any available updates and restart your laptop if required.
Check Camera App Permissions: If you're using a specific camera app (like the Camera app or Zoom), make sure it has permission to access the camera. Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera, and ensure that the app is listed and its toggle switch is turned on.
Run the Windows Troubleshooter: Windows has a built-in troubleshooter for hardware and devices. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot, select "Hardware and Devices," and follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
Check for Physical Obstructions: Ensure that there are no physical obstructions covering the camera lens.
Reset Camera App: If you're having issues with a specific camera app, try resetting it. Right-click on the app's icon, go to App settings, and look for an option to reset the app.
Check Antivirus or Firewall Settings: Sometimes, antivirus or firewall settings can block the camera. Temporarily disable your antivirus or firewall and check if the camera works.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, there may be a hardware problem with the camera. In this case, it's advisable to contact HP phone support.

Have you checked to see if the camera privacy cover is covering the camera lens?
Look at the top of the display.
