Hi @Lcrain412,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your Chromebook's camera view is upside down, here are a few steps you can try to fix it.
- Restart your Chromebook: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve minor software glitches. Try restarting your Chromebook and check if the camera view returns to normal.
- Check camera settings: Open the camera app on your Chromebook and look for any settings related to camera orientation or rotation. Some camera apps have an option to flip or rotate the camera view. If you find such settings, adjust them accordingly.
- Update Chrome OS: Ensure that your Chromebook is running the latest version of Chrome OS. Sometimes, system updates include fixes for issues like camera orientation problems. Go to Settings > About Chrome OS > Check for updates to see if there are any available updates.
- Reset camera app settings: If there are no specific settings to adjust the camera orientation, you can try resetting the camera app settings to their default values. Go to Settings > Apps > Camera > Storage > Clear data. This will reset the camera app settings, but keep in mind that it will also remove any customizations you've made.
- Check for hardware issues: If none of the above solutions work, there might be a hardware issue with the camera itself.
By following these steps, you should be able to fix the upside-down camera view on your HP Chromebook.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
