So I cracked the screen on my laptop and it has a sort of phantom touch in the top left hand corner where it is cracked. Is there a way to disable the screen in that section and not on the rest so I can still use my touchscreen? Thanks

Hi @SkylarHanson8

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂 I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers. 🙂

I understand you have some issues with the display of your Notebook and there is a crack on the screen.

As of now, no touch devices have an option to disable a part of the screen.

The only option available is to enable or disable touchscreen of your computer.

  • In the search box on the taskbar, type Device Manager, then select Device Manager.

  • Select the arrow next to Human Interface Devices and select HID-compliant touch screen.

  • Select the Action tab at the top of the window. Select disable or enable.

Since there is a damage to the screen, I would recommend you to contact our HP Phone Support Team for getting this unit serviced.

I am sending you a private message with the information required to contact them. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.

Please check your Private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile,

Next, to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

I hope this information helps.
