Product: 15s-eq1194ur

I have HP 15s-eq1194ur laptop. I would like to buy a monitor for this laptop (e.g. LG 24gn65r-b with HDMI 2.0 OR ASUS VY249HGE with HDMI 1.4). If I connect a 1080p 144hz/165hz monitor to its HDMI 1.4b port will it work at 120hz with no issue (I know about HDMI 1.4b 120hz limitation)?

It has one  HDMI 1.4b port. In theory this port supports  (with a right cable)

 

              https://www.hdmi.org/spec/hdmi1_4b
