Hello, I have 15-BS035NT (2CT86EA) with 1366x768 SVA screen (B156XTN07.1 / AUO71EC). The eDP cable has these numbers on it:

- SPS: 909185-005

- Date Code: 7J1780

- CBL_50_LCD_EDP_ASSY_NT

- DC02002WZ00 REV:3.0

- HIGH-TEK(KT592) 17/08/10

- DC02002WZ00-HIG3-30-

- 78A-128-7E36

I presume it is 30 pins eDP port and cable but I do not know whether it is 1 lane or 2 lanes. Thanks in advance.

Hi:

You should be able to.

See chapter 3, pages 23 & 24 of the service manual for the FHD display and FHD display cable part numbers:

HP 15 Laptop PC (Intel)HP 15g Laptop PCHP 15q Laptop PC Maintenance and Service Guide

It looks like if your notebook does not have a touchscreen, the HD and FHD displays use the same cable.

Here's a different 15-bs0xx model that has the FHD display and it uses the same cable as the one you have now:

HP PartSurfer

798933-011
GNRC PANEL15.6 FHD AG SVA 220eDP Slim JG

924930-001
CABLE, LCD NON-TS

I have a non-touch screen. According to the document you shared, I sohuld have the 924930-001. The problem is when I search for it on Google, Some sites list it with 30 pins and some with 40 pins. I am confused.

I can only tell you what the official service manual and the parts list for a model that comes with the non-touchscreen FHD panel indicate.

So is it possible the non-touch display cable 924930-001 in my laptop configuration is actually 1 lane just because it is enough to carry 1366x768 screen and HP used it instead of 2 lanes in order to cut the price down?

It must be since the same cable is used in another 15-bs0xx notebook that came with the FHD display.
