I need to be able to connect two screens extenders to my laptop but since I only have 1 HTMI and the usb-c is only for data is it possible to use a docking station with 2 htmi outputs to extend the screens?

@PajoUk,

I’m here to help you troubleshoot your issue and get things back on track. Just follow these steps below, and we’ll have you running smoothly in no time:

Yes, it’s definitely possible to use a docking station with two HDMI outputs to extend your screens.

You would need to look for a USB-C docking station that includes multiple HDMI ports. These docking stations typically leverage the USB-C port to transmit video signals, which allows you to connect more than one external monitor.

Here’s how it would work:

  • The docking station connects to your laptop via the USB-C port.
  • The docking station provides additional HDMI outputs.
  • You can connect your external monitors to the HDMI ports on the docking station, effectively extending your display.

Make sure to check the specifications of the docking station to confirm it supports dual monitor output and is compatible with your laptop’s USB-C port. You should also check if your laptop's GPU supports multiple monitors.
