Hi @CSanders
Welcome to HP Forums! 🙂
I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.
I am not sure about the iMac Monitor that you have so, I will share some information about your Envy Notebook and the different ways to connect an external monitor.
This unit comes with a USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 2 Port.
This port can charge your external devices, charge your notebook and connect this an external monitor.
If your iMac Monitor has an HDMI port, you can purchase a USB Type C to HDMI Adapter. This can be used to get your notebook connected to an external monitor.
For more information about your notebook, you can check the specification by clicking here.
