HP Pavilion Laptop PC 15-eg1000 IDS Base Model
Microsoft Windows 11

I saw the spec page says this laptop I purchased support usb-c fast data transfer, display port and power delivery. However, when I tried to use usb-c to usb-c cable to connect a dell usb-c supported monitor, the display just not came up. I can transfer data, and power is delivered. Can you help to check if this laptop really can support display port through USB-C? thanks.

Your machine should have same ports as the following machine

            HP Pavilion Laptop 15-eg1000TU

Its USB-C port is a SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 10Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge) port which support USB-C monitor or USB-C to DP monitor.

You can also setup single cable cable using USB-C Gen 5 dock.

Regards.

That was my understanding, but when I connect this laptop to my monitor(DELL U2719DC) it doesn't work. after scanning signal, monitor says no USB C signal found.

I also found someone posted that windows 11 has this issue, and after downgrade to windows 10 the issue addressed, but I just got this notebook for couple of days, is there a decent way I can try to fix this issue? thanks.
