HP Spectre x360 14t-ea100
Microsoft Windows 11

I am considering buying a new HP Spectre x360 14t-ea100, but I would like to be sure that it will drive my two 4k monitors. I have two BenQ PD3200Q monitors, 32". This seems to be a fairly new model laptop from HP, and I have not seen a post specific to this model in regards to driving dual 4k monitors. Has anyone found a docking station that will work with to do this?

Machine has 2 Thunderbolt™ 4 with USB4™ Type-C® 40Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge) ports. You can daisy chain 2 Thunderbolt 4K monitors. More information for daisy chain

Hi @Banhien,

I appreciate you responding with a potential solution, and I apologize for taking so long to respond. I found the information in the link you sent to be very interesting, but my 32" monitors are not equipped with DP 1.2 ports that support MST as I bought them back in 2017. However, the article also mentioned running a Thunderbolt daisy-chain by using a Thunderbolt docking station. The link opens to a web page showing two HP Thunderbolt Docks, 120W G2 and 120W G2 with Audio, which might work for me. The specs do not specifically list the HP Spectre x360 laptops as being compatible, but I think that might be because of the newness of this line of laptops. I should receive my new laptop in early January. I will see if it will work with my existing Dell 452-BCYT D6000 Universal Dock to drive the two monitors. If they do not work, I will try one of the HP docks. I appreciate your reply!

Thank you.

Ron
