Hi @Judai105,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Do not worry, I'd be happy to help you!

Having trouble connecting an external display to your HP Pavilion Laptop 15-eg0000 despite changing cables and attempting different connections can be frustrating. Here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue:

Check Display Settings: Right-click on the desktop and select "Display Settings." Ensure that Windows is detecting the external display. Look for the "Detect" button under the "Multiple displays" section. If the external display is detected, you should see options to extend or duplicate the display.

Update Graphics Drivers: Outdated or incompatible graphics drivers can cause display connectivity problems. Visit HP's official website, enter your laptop's model number, and download the latest graphics drivers. Install them and restart your laptop. Select your current os and update the drivers. Click here

Check Input Source on Monitor/TV: Ensure that the monitor/TV is set to the correct input source that matches the connection you're using (HDMI or USB-C to HDMI).

Test on Different Display: If possible, try connecting your laptop to a different external display to see if the issue persists. This helps determine if the problem is with the laptop or the specific monitor/TV.

Restart and Reconnect: Sometimes, a simple restart of both the laptop and the external display while they're connected can establish a proper connection.

Try Different Ports: If your laptop has multiple HDMI or USB-C ports, try connecting the external display to a different port. Sometimes, a specific port might be malfunctioning.

Check BIOS/UEFI Settings: Access the BIOS/UEFI settings (usually by pressing Esc, F2, F10, or Del during startup) and ensure that the display settings are configured to allow external displays.

Hardware Check: If none of the above steps work, there might be a hardware issue with either the laptop's video output or the external display's input. Contact HP support for further assistance on the hardware check.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
