@Fran71

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Did you make any changes to the settings of your PC prior to the issue?
  • When was the last time it worked fine?
  • Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
  • Have you made any hardware/software changes?
  • What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824

While you respond to that, let's try these steps:

Disabling the Double Tap to Enable or Disable TouchPad (Windows 10, 😎

  1. Click Start and then type mouse in the search field.
  2. Click Change your mouse settings.
  3. Click Additional mouse options.
  4. In Mouse Properties, click the TouchPad tab.
  5. Uncheck Double Tap to Enable or Disable TouchPad
  6. Click Apply, and then click OK.

Click here: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03882926 to know more about How to Disable the "Double Tap to Enable or Disable TouchPad" Feature.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
