HP ProBook 640 G2
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My PC is a  HP ProBook 640 G2

The problem is that I'm trying to display Images in a TV or monitor trough my USB-C Port adapted to an HDMI cable and is not working. Is not giving me any error message or anything, it just doesn't show anything, like if is not reading o detecting any connection at all. I've tried the same cable an adapter in another computer (a Macbook) and the cable does work (it is new).

I've tried all the indications I read about how to display images in projectors, double or extended images, doesn't work.

I found this info in HP's page but I don't now why my PC is no transmitting if it is supposed to be used this way::smileysad:

Does USB Type-C™ support video modes (alternate modes)? USB Type-C™ ports support adapters that can output different types of video, such as HDMI, VGA, and DisplayPort™, all from one USB Type-C™ port on a computer or device.

Can I have some help please? :generic:

Hello Rbk-Phillips04,

I regret to inform you that the USB-C to HDMI is not working simply because that USB-C port is only for charging.

This is what I found in your computer's specifications page:

It's quite important that users first refer to their computer's USB-C port's capability first before making purchase considering that the USB-C ports on HP laptops vary significantly.

All the best,

Eddy
