Hello. To the best of my understanding, my laptop should be able to connect to my USB-C monitor via its USB-C port. I've connected them and I'm getting nothing. Is this a cable issue or a laptop/port issue? What type of cable should I be using?
Exact Model Name: HP Pavilion 13-an0010nr
Thanks for the help
(Oh ya, the monitor is powered separately.)

Hello @HomeOfcUsr,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Can you provide the exact model name/number of the monitor as well as the exact model name/number of the cable you're using? Webpage links to the monitor and cable you've purchased would also suffice.
Furthermore, just to clarify, you're using a USB-C to USB-C cable to establish the connection - correct?
