Pavilion 15-ab522TX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am using a two year old laptop HP Pavilion 15-ab522TX  which has a 1366x768  resplutio. I want to replace the screen with a 1920x1080 resolution display. Is it possible? Does the existing display connector support the FHD(1920x1080) screen ?

Hi,

Yes, you should be able to replace the screen with an FHD screen as certain models in that series came with the FHD screen.

The part number for the screen is 819999-001 or 809372-001

You can try searching online with part number

Example:

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=819999-001&_sacat=0&rt=nc&_udhi=60

On pages 74 and 76 of the service manual, you can see the steps to replace the panel

Hope it helps,

David

Should I buy a connector with it or the existing one will do?

There is only one type of cable for both screens (HD and FHD) so no need for a different connector.

David
