Hi I believe my laptop screen is burnt out. The lower part of my screen is showing blank black screen. So my screen is 80% working from top to bottom (the bottom 20~% is pitch black). I can not see the taskbar. Can I adjust or compress the screen so that I can avoid the damaged part?

Okay, I see.

There are two ways around this. One will be to replace the screen or use an HDMI cable and connect to an external display.

These two walkarounds will make you enjoy your time using your PC.

Hello, you may decide to resize the screen if you wish as that may be a good troubleshooting option.

Another fix may be to connect an HDMI cable to an external display as this will make things easier for you.

Could you possibly use an HDMI cable instead on an external display device?

Thank you for your reply. Any idea how can I resize my screen? I don't currently have an external display unfortunately.

Okay, I see, no problem then.

You can resize your screen by going into your display settings.

You can find that by right-clicking on your desktop window or doing a search on the search bar and typing "Display Settings" and it should take you to the screen to resize your screen.

Let me know if this helps. Thank you.

Thank you for the effort and time you spend to help me with my issue. Unfortunately the options are just the scale and resolution. Maybe I didn't explain in a good way. My bottom (~10%) of my screen is burnt out and I can not see the task bar or the bottom part of any application. Can I drag (resize, I am sorry I don't know what's the correct term) but I mean to resize or shape my display in a way that I can avoid the bottom part and my screen will show the taskbar part in higher position (as in compressing the display size or something)

And thank you already for the help and information
