Elite Book
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Unfortunately, hp does not provide the possibility of having a pen that can be incorporated within the computer structure, unlike lenovo. As a consequence, it is problematic to always have the pen by the computer. Then, the hp software complains of the time: Pend alert, not found... when the pen is not in proximity. How can this obnoxious notification be removed. I tried many things... this is not a visible option in the interface provided by hp. A fix would be a great relief! Thanks.

I have a benign, well-behaved USB pen on a Probook laptop that never bothers me.

It might simply be due to the type of pen.

That said, I also do have the following switched OFF

Notifications of all types:

Settings > System > Notifications and actions >> OFF

Much less likely

You could also try / consider

Settings > Devices > Bluetooth and other devices

UNCHECK Show notifications to connect using Swift Pair

Settings > Devices > Pen & Windows Ink

UNCHECK When available, show Ink Workspace after I remove my pen from storage

Thanks. I have finally turned off all the notifications of hp in Settings => Notifications & actions, which seems to do the trick. This is not perfect as not specific to the pen. I am really using an hp pen that I ordered with my laptop (Elite Book) and, in contrast to some threads I read online, the pen software interface that comes with (and which I have made sure to update) does not offer the possibility to turn off the notifications on my computer...

You are welcome.

Yes, a specific control for the pen would be better.

Stay Safe.

Better 2021 for all...
