Product: HP Pavilion 14 Laptop PC 14-dv2000 (4Z018AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I have a Mi TV which is 4K capable and my hp laptop has i5-1235U with Iris Xe Graphics. So the problem is, I want to work on my TV by closing the laptop lid, but the 1080p resolution feels blurry so I opened settings and switched the resolution to 3840x2160 and my TV goes blank totally. I've to remove and plug-in HDMI cable again then it switches back to 1080p.

 

I've modified my sleep settings, my laptop doesn't sleep when I close the lid while plugged in. Even when I tried extending the display it worked perfectly on 1080p until I switched the Display 2 (my TV) to 3840x2160 resolution and my TV went blank again.

 

I want my tv to work in 4K resolution when the laptop's lid is closed.

 

Someone, please help me solve this.

What is your HP Pavilion 14 Laptop PC 14-dv2000 (4Z018AV)  ?  It could be one of the following machines

 

               https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-14-laptop-pc-14-dv2000/2101006186/product-info

 

For example         HP Pavilion Laptop 14-dv2021TU which shows it has HDMI 2.1 port. With HDMI 2.1 port you should be able to get 4K resolution on your TV.

 

Looks like your HDMI cable it not the right one, Please use a RIGHT HDMI version 2.0 up cable.

My model is 14-DV2014TU.

 

I have 3 HDMI cables but I'm unable to identify their version, noting about version is written in the cable.
