HP Notebook 15s-fq1085tu

I cant turn on the backlight for my keyboard. I have tried all the combinations of the fn button with f5. f9 and f11 combos as per internet suggestions. Ive also looked up product specs and my model does appear to have this function. Can anybody advise anything else I can try? thank you

Welcome to the HP User Community.

According to the data I find for this machine, this model does not include a backlit keyboard.

Product Number:  3M191PA HP Notebook 15s-fq1085tu

KeyboardFull-size, natural silver keyboard with numeric keypad

Page 12 - The backlit keyboard, if it were present, would be the F5 key

Typically, when a key is blank (no icon on the key), that key is not active.

I also checked a sales site in your region - the specs for this model indicate the keyboard is NOT backlit.
