HP 250 G8 Notebook PC (1T4K6AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, got a HP250G8 which won;t boot from USB so probably need to change the boot order in BIOS. Have searched for the method and get a number of different options. Some say press Esc, some say press F9.  so am confused.

Could someone please let me know the correct method.  Its more than 15 years since I did something like this (before retirement) so very rusty and a bit nervous.

Grateful for any help

Thanks  John.

Hi, John:

In order to boot from a USB flash drive, have it plugged into your notebook's USB port.

Turn on or restart the PC.

Immediately press/tap the ESC key to get the menu of options.

Select the F9 boot options menu, and from that, select the EFI USB flash drive and press the Enter key.

The PC should boot from the flash drive.
