My HP Envy's display is significantly warm. I need to make it colder, more blue. I do a lot of photo-editing so this is seriosuly affecting my workflow. Images look much colder on my phone and other laptop. I made sure the warm night filter was turned off and went through color calibration to no avail. Any suggestions other than getting a colorimeter?

Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
I see that you're wanting to adjust the colour temperature of the display,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
- When was the last time it worked fine?
- Have you made any hardware/software changes?
- Have you tried connecting the display to an external monitor?
While you respond to that, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:
Try the steps recommended below.
Right click on your main screen of the notebook >Graphics Properties> select "Intel Graphics Properties" >
Display > Under Select Display >> your second display > Click on Color > Advanced
See if you can adjust the colour to your satisfaction.
Try resetting the colour settings using the following steps:
- Right-click on the desktop
- Choose Graphics Properties (or choose Graphics Options), and then Graphics Properties...
- Click on the Color Correction button (or click on the Color tab).
- Click Restore defaults.
- Check for a button or menu item on the monitor for adjusting the colour balance.
Also, Try performing a BIOS default on your PC and check if it helps.
- Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
- Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
- On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
- Press F10 to Save and Exit.
- Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
- Follow the prompts to restart your computer.
Also, Uninstall the graphics driver from the device manager and install the latest drivers and BIOS from the links below.
You can try updating the drivers on your PC using HP support assistant.
Refer to this article to know more information about using the HP support assistant.
