Changing contrast

Monitors and computers used to have variable contrast and brightness adjustments. This appears to only have brightness, as far as I can see, apart from the High Contrast setting, which is not suitable for me, as an Oldie!  Is there some way to variably adjust the contrast?  Many thanks..
