Good evening. I logged into my HP account to download the video/CPU drivers in the hopes that my video playback resumes back to how it was when I had Win 8.1 installed. After the upgrade to Win 10 64bit, now im having issues with video playback. When im watching videos on Youtube, and the screen is small, the video is perfect. But when I switch to full screen, the video become choppy. I dont know why. So as I checked HP for software and drivers, the pack now says "There is no software or drivers available for your product."
Can someone please direct or advise me what I need to do to correct this issue im having?
Or can someone provide me with a link to the software and drivers for my laptop? Dell mails out software and drivers disks when the disks are lost free of charge. Does HP provide similar services? Thank you.

Hi @AB_PC_Repair,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
We understand how frustrating it can be when a laptop that once worked smoothly under Windows 8.1 begins to experience issues like choppy full-screen video playback after upgrading to Windows 10. We're here to help you get your HP Pavilion 17-f023cl Notebook PC back to smooth performance.
1. Windows Update First
Ensure your system is fully updated:
- Open Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates
- Install all available updates, especially Optional updates (these often include hardware drivers)
2. Try Installing the Original Windows 8.1 Drivers Manually
Even if the HP support page doesn’t list Windows 10 drivers for your model, you can still:
- Visit the archived support page for your notebook:
👉 HP Pavilion 17-f023cl Drivers(If this model is obsolete model Drivers may not be available sometimes) - Select Windows 8.1 (64-bit) as the OS
- Download and install:
- AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver
- Chipset drivers
- BIOS update (only if your version is outdated)
These older drivers can sometimes work better than the default Windows 10 drivers for legacy systems.
3. Adjust Video Playback Settings
Sometimes, playback can be improved by tweaking browser settings:
- On YouTube, click the gear icon and try lowering the resolution (e.g., from 1080p to 720p)
- In Chrome, disable hardware acceleration:
Settings → System → Turn off "Use hardware acceleration when available"
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
