Chromebook touchscreen is intermittently not working and requires the use of keyboard/mouse/touchpad to navigate. This has been a common thread across multiple forums and it still not resolved by power wash or factory reset. I am starting a new thread to check for any update. We are lucky that we can restart the machine and it starts working again for a short period but I'm anticipating it will completely stop working soon based on others' posted experiences.

@ShikinaMom Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that the touchscreen is not working

If your touchscreen isn't working, try these steps. Test after each step to see whether your touchscreen works.

  1. Wipe off any dust or dirt on your touchscreen.
  2. Reset your Chromebook hardware.
  3. Reset your Chromebook to factory settings.
