I have a Chromebook x360 14b. It was working fine all day until now where the screen is black, it refuses to come on, and despite the charging cables working it does not have a light indicating it's charging. I tried to hard reset and use esc+refresh then power and it does not work.

Hi @RD000_,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • When you connect the charger, do you notice any faint sound, vibration, or warmth from the device?
  • Have you tried using a different power outlet or charger to rule out adapter issues?

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Check the charger and port
    • Ensure the charging cable and adapter are firmly connected.
    • Try a different compatible charger if available, or plug into another wall outlet.
  2. Perform a hardware reset
    • Press and hold the Power button for at least 30 seconds.
    • Release it, wait a few seconds, then press Power again to see if the Chromebook responds.
  3. Battery reset attempt
    • Disconnect the charger.
    • Hold down Power + Refresh together for about 10 seconds.
    • Reconnect the charger and try powering on again.
  4. Inspect for physical indicators
  • Look closely at the charging port and cable for any dust or damage.

I hope this helps.
