Hi Community,
some weeks ago my Synaptics Click Pad of my HP ENVY 17-ae142ng started to act weird by reacting as If the left mouse Button was clicked permanently. I deinstalled it and reinstalled the drivers and thereafter it worked finde.
Since yesterday, the behavior returned and finally changed to not reacting on any right or left clicking or holding the Buttons at all. Only moving the Mouse still works.
Anoter reinstallation of the Clickpad and the drivers die Not change the behavior.
Does anyone of you have an Idea what the reason colud be or do I have to physically replace the ClickPad?
Thanks, Chantal

I reviewed your post and I understand that the right and the left click on the touchpad are not working.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you perform a test on the touchpad following the steps in the below article to make sure whether it is software or a hardware related issue.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
