My laptop screen is showing these lines everywhere, usually after waking up the pc from lock screen, usually only on chrome, but I've seen it also across the whole windows interface once.
Any ideas what this is?

What is the product number of your computer?
I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

Hello The_Fossette,
thank you very much for the interest in my issue!
The issue is still there, I checked and I have latest BIOS and graphic driver according to HP supported ones.
I also run tests at start-up but nothing strange reported by the pc.
One new thing is that I saw the same line on an external monitor, so my guess is that it is related to software... I hope?
Or the graphic card!!!

I recommend you perform a system restore back to the date when everything was working fine on the computer.
