@CVDB1

Your machine has 1 Thunderbolt™ 4 with USB4™ Type-C® 40Gbps signaling rate port which supports DisplayPort™ 1.4. It also has HDMI 2.0 port. Your monitor has HDMI; DisplayPort ports therefore in terms of  connectivity they are compatible.

Regards.

I bought these two devices about 4 months ago and since the first days, the connection between the two devices is suddenly lost about once a day, but sometimes even 5 or 6 times a day without any reason. The two devices are not moved, there is no start of another software. Everything works normally but suddenly, no connection. I have to disconnect and reconnect the cable three to four times and then it works again. HP already gave me a new cable and a new monitor, and even replaced the whole motherboard of the laptop. Still the same problem. Does anybody have this same problem with these two devices and windows 10?
