Hi @Hallmark79,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP computer is not detecting the laptop camera for Zoom meetings, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.

  • Check camera privacy settings: Make sure that the camera privacy settings on your HP computer are configured correctly. On Windows 10, go to "Settings" > "Privacy" > "Camera" and ensure that the "Allow apps to access your camera" toggle is turned on. Also, scroll down and verify that the toggle for Zoom specifically is turned on.
  • Update drivers: Outdated camera drivers can sometimes cause issues. Visit the official HP website and search for the latest drivers for your specific laptop model. Download and install any available updates for the camera driver.
  • Restart your computer: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve minor software glitches. Restart your HP computer and check if the camera is now detected by Zoom.
  • Check Zoom settings: Launch the Zoom app and go to the settings menu. Click on "Video" in the left sidebar and make sure the correct camera is selected from the drop-down menu under "Camera." If you have multiple cameras connected, ensure you choose the one you want to use.
  • Reinstall Zoom: Uninstall Zoom from your computer and then download the latest version from the official Zoom website. Install it again and check if the camera is now detected.
  • Test with other applications: Check if the camera works with other applications or software. This will help determine if the issue is specific to Zoom or if there is a broader problem with the camera itself.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
