I'm trying to connect my HP laptop to an external monitor (an HP w1907) so I can view multiple open windows at one time. I purchased a USB-C to DVI cable but the laptop couldn't detect the monitor. I have an Intel UHD Graphics 620 in the laptop. I know this is an older monitor, but is there a way to make this work?
Thanks,
Eric Brown

The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06030465
It has 1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer Only) port which does NOT support USB-C to DVI cable. Your machine has 1 HDMI port. Any HDMI-DVI cable will work. For example

Regards.
