I plugged a second monitor into my laptop using the USB-C port, but I received a message saying something to the effect of it being available with limited usage. When I clicked ont he pop up message it also opened the computer settings where it said the USB-C maybe be repaired. I tried various options to repair the port, but nothing worked.
The HDMI port is already used for an external monitor, but I want to add another one.
I am not sure what "Alt-Mode" the USB-C port is using or if it can be changed to suit my needs.
I do not know if the laptop is equipped with a Thunderbolt port.
I want to purchase an adaptor with additional ports, but not if the USB-C is not going to work.
The product name of my laptop is Pavilion 15-cs3002ni. The product number is 8UQ08EA#ACQ.
Please help! How do I sort this issue?
