HP Pavilion 14-bf0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I connected a HP Pavilion 14 to Docking station HP G5 Usb-c  via USB-C port in the laptop.

The docking station is registered in devices on the laptop.

My problem is the 3 displays connected to the docking station is not registered in the Laptop.

The Laptop do not find the extra display when opening the display module in settings.

How do I solve this problem.

Using the USB-C port in the laptop seems to be the right choise, but why can't the laptop find the extra displayes,

You assistance will be highly appriciated

Hi@Kuni57, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Nearly all HP Pavilion notebooks don't have a docking port therefore you can't get a docking station for your machine or for HP Pavilions. The specs of your machine are

https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c05532241

 which shows it has

  • 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (Data Transfer Only, 5 Gb/s signaling rate);
  • 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A (Data Transfer Only);
  • 1 AC smart pin;
  • 1 HDMI 1.4b;
  • 1 headphone/microphone combo;
  • 1 RJ-45

As you can see, its USB-C port does NOT support video out. At this stage, a docking station using USB-A ports still is a good choice. If you wish to have 2 or more external monitors, please enter your requirement on the following link and it will find for you a few options on the market today including some HP products:

or try following HP docks

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
