HP Pavilion - 15-cw1507sa

Hi. I'm trying to connect my laptop to two external Philips monitors (with extended screen). I started with buying a HDMI splitter and then a usb-c to HDMI lead which didn't work.

Does anybody know what cable I may need to achieve this?

Hi @Kevino79 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The HP Pavilion 15-cw1507sa laptop comes with various ports, and the ability to connect to two external monitors depends on the available ports and the capabilities of your laptop.

Check available ports on your laptop: First, identify the available ports on your laptop. The HP Pavilion 15-cw1507sa may come with USB-C, HDMI, and possibly other ports.

Use HDMI and USB-C ports: If your laptop has an HDMI port and a USB-C port, you might be able to connect two external monitors using these ports. Here's how:

  • Connect one monitor to the HDMI port on your laptop using an HDMI cable.
  • Use a USB-C to HDMI adapter or cable to connect the second monitor to the USB-C port on your laptop.

Check USB-C capabilities: Ensure that the USB-C port on your laptop supports video output. Not all USB-C ports are designed for video output, so check your laptop's specifications or user manual to confirm.

Use a docking station: If the above options don't work or if you have limited ports, consider using a docking station. A docking station can provide additional ports, including HDMI or DisplayPort, and can simplify the process of connecting multiple monitors.

Update drivers: Make sure your graphics drivers are up-to-date. Sometimes, issues with external monitors can be resolved by updating the graphics drivers for your laptop.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
