Connecting HP6570b laptop to external monitor with HDMI

I need to connect the 6570b to external monitor / and/or projector - both have HDMI

Can I use the display port on back of 6570b (display port to HDMI cable)

If so is the display port standard size or small - doesn't look particularly small

Used to use a small external screen  -  USB to mini USB - post move to Windows 10 laptop failed to identify multi screen option

Don't really want to change the laptop, but need for occasional presentations

Yes, you can simply use a DP-HDMI cable to connect to an external monitor. For the projector the connection should be the same.
