When I connect my HP laptop to my HP docking, my two screens do not show up. Everything else works. The only way I can connect my monitors, is by plugging them into my laptop using a HDMI splitter. This only lets me extend to the monitors. The monitors mirror each other but to not extend to all 3. I thought the docking station would allow this? What am I missing?

Hi @Mitzi55
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It seems like the issue might be related to compatibility or configuration. Here are some steps to help you troubleshoot and resolve this:
🌟 Steps to Resolve Your Docking Station Display Issue:
🖥️ Check Docking Station Compatibility:
- Ensure your docking station supports multiple monitors for your laptop model. Compatibility is key!
📦 Update Graphics Drivers:
- Keep your system fresh! Update your display drivers via Device Manager or HP’s support page.
⚙️ Configure Display Settings:
- Head to Settings > System > Display and adjust the Multiple Displays settings to detect and extend all monitors.
🔌 Verify Docking Station Ports:
- Double-check the docking station's ports (e.g., HDMI, DisplayPort) and install any required drivers like DisplayLink.
🛠️ Test with a Different Docking Station:
- If you have access to another docking station, test it to rule out hardware limitations.
🎛️ Use a DisplayLink Adapter:
- Adapt and overcome! If your docking station doesn’t support multiple monitors, use a USB-to-HDMI DisplayLink adapter.
Technology challenges can be tricky, but with persistence and these steps, you’ll soon have all your screens up and running. 💪 Feel free to let me know how it goes—I’m here to cheer you on every step of the way! 🚀✨
