Hello! I am having severe trouble figuring out how to connect a 2nd monitor to my laptop (extended display, not duplicate). I currently have one external HP monitor connected through my laptops HDMI port, which leaves 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, and 1 USB 3.1 (Type-C) port remaining. I tried getting a USB-C to VGA Cable to try and connected my other HP monitor (monitor has HDMI or VGA) and the monitor is not being detected. After doing some digging, it appears the USB C needs to support Display Port Alternate Mode, which I don't think this has. What are my other options to get this 2nd monitor up and running? My product number is W2K45UA. Thank you in advance!

The USB-C port does not support video out as mentioned above therefore you need an adapter or a dock/port replicator. Please enter your requirement and it will find for you the one you need on market today.

Not exactly sure what you mean by my requirement, but I'm looking for a cost effective way to get my 2nd monitor up and running with the equipment I have, but I understand I may need to purchase an additional adapter or hub. Will these hubs work if the port is just standard USB C, and do they provide dual screen capability and allow both screen to be extensions of my laptop screen, for a total of 3 separate screens displaying different things? I thought my research showed that standard USB C will not allow video feeds, but perhaps the hub fixes this solution?
