Microsoft Windows 11

Hi all, just trying to work out a way/ best way to connect two external monitors (HP V24i FHD) to new laptop (14s-fq540au).  Previously using a company Dell laptop we have been able to pug in a Comsol USB-C to dual HDMI adaptor and it has worked flawlessly. However, this is not working on the HP USB-C.  Can get one extra monitor to operate directly off HDMI but really require the ability to extend across the two monitors and also laptop display. Thanks in advance for any assistance

Hi@MurrayB90,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are looking to connect dual external monitors on the HP Laptop PC.

This Comsol USB-C to Dual HDMI Adaptor allows you to connect your laptop, tablet or smartphone to 2 external displays. The adaptor is compatible with Windows, Mac and Android devices for added convenience. You can use this adaptor to connect your devices to 2 external displays simultaneously.

I have a few recommendations

  • Please click on this link for Using two or more monitors with one computer.
  • Try with any alternate ports if available
  • Check with alternate cables
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
  • Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
