I recently wanted to expand my work station but I have trouble of making second monitor work.
I have two monitors: AOC G2590PX and iiyama G-Master Black Hawk GB2530HSU-B1
Any monitor connected to HDMI port in notebook works fine.
I had an idea of adding second monitor using USB to HDMI adapter. I can't get monitor connected via adapter into USB 3.0 port to work.
This is adapter what I am using :
https://www.ugreen.com/collections/usb-c-hub/products/6-in-1-usb-c-adapter-with-4k-hdmi
hp-pavilion-gaming-15-ak050nw does not have USB-C port so I've also purchased UGREEN USB C to USB 3.0 Adapter to be able to connect hub/adapter to my notebook.
https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Adapter-Female-Converter-Charger/dp/B079K773M7
Is there something I'm missing? And by the way, all flash disks connected to hub/adapter are working fine but no monitor can be detected by system. Please help.

Thank you for the response.
**bleep**, I thought that adapter which I purchased would do the job...
Could you explain to me where the problem lies? Are USB ports in my machine that are too old or do not have some functionality? Is because of my laptop interiors? Is it that adapter/hub which I bought assumes that some kind of processing should be done in notebook and in my case lacks some kind of preprocessing? Or is it problem of compatibility with UGREEN and HP devices?
I would want to understand my problem better because I saw my adapter work on various videos and I wonder.
Thanks again.
