My laptop screen has been showing a green (sometimes red, depending on background colour) horizontal line just about the task bar for a few weeks. Some time prior to me noticing the line, the laptop fell onto a carpeted floor from a bed. I did not notice this line immediately post fall.
I've tried a previous fix (opening BIOS, the line is still there) which won't work.
The line is not solid; in some places it is thinner and other places wider.
Has anyone see this before?

As the issue persists on the BIOS page, it certainly sounds like a hardware issue with the PC.
Please contact HP support and get the service options for the laptop.
